The Helen Keller Festival returns to Tuscumbia, AL. Enjoy food, live music, film screenings, arts & crafts, and family fun, all celebrating Helen Keller’s legacy. You may also tour Ivy Green, Keller’s well-preserved birthplace featuring original furnishings and personal mementos.

With six days of activities, there’s so much to do at this annual festival. Here are some of the top festival highlights to look forward to:

  • The Helen Keller Art Show at the Tennessee Valley Museum of Art features works created by visually impaired, blind or deaf/blind Alabama students.
  • The 40th annual Helen Keller Festival Parade through downtown Tuscumbia is a must-see and local tradition.
  • Take part in the 23-Mile & 5-Mile Family Bike Ride, an early evening ride offering fun for all ages and abilities.
  • Vote for your favorite young women at the Miss Ivy Green Pageant with winners invited to ride in the Helen Keller Festival Parade.
