The Shoals is full of picturesque locations perfect for photo-ops year round, but there is something unique about this location when the leaves start changing colors. 1. The Cane Creek Canyon Nature Preserve

First, let’s go for a hike! The Cane Creek Canyon Nature Preserve is a photographer's dream. Located just south of Tuscumbia, Alabama, this location is a sanctuary for native plants and animals that owns nearly eleven miles of hiking trails to many scenic sites. Stop by one of its many stunning canyon overlooks or jaw-dropping natural waterfalls. The preserve is open sunrise to sunset, so head over there today.

2. Natchez Trace Parkway

Pristine and untouched by time, The Natchez Trace is the definition of “No Filter Needed”. This scenic parkway connects 444 miles of primitive campsites, bike trails, footpaths, and so much foliage for the eye to see. Even better, it runs right through The Shoals!
