10th Annual Tennessee River Litter Tournament

Save the date! Our annual Tennessee River Litter Tournament is coming up soon this September! Please share and invite your friends to fish for litter. This cleanup highlights the importance of keeping our river clean. Trash on land eventually ends up in the river when it rains, so no matter where you pick up litter, it will help maintain its beauty! Whether that is far from the river, along its shoreline, or in the water, you will make a difference! 

Starting locations are McFarland Park in Florence and Riverfront Park in Sheffield!

PRIZES
$500 Grand Prize to the group with the most volunteers participating

$100 MVP Award for most litter collected (1 winner at each site)

$100 Constellium Recyclers Award for most aluminum cans collected(1 winner at each site)

GUIDELINES FOR ENTRY TO WIN

Group must check in and get supplies between 7:30 to 8:00

Litter must be turned in at your park site by 10:30 to be considered a participant in the tournament 

Entry for $500 Grand Prize and $100 MVP Award
Fill trash bags provided by us with litter; each bag = 1 point

1 large item such as a tire or mattress = 1 point

Entry for $100 Constellium Recyclers Award
Fill trash bags provided by us with aluminum cans. Return to park site to weigh your cans; 1 lb = 1 point
