Swampers Virtual 5K & 1 Mile Run/Walk

We have made the difficult decision to switch the 16th Annual Swampers 5k/1 Mile Run to a virtual only option. This was not an easy decision for me or the Shoals Civic League. We hope this has not caused any problems for anyone and we do apologize. Basically, what the virtual option is will be to run a 5K or 1 Mile anytime on your own between now and August 1st and we will mail you a shirt and medal. If you do not want to run the 5K or 1 Mile, but still want the Shoals Civic League to receive your entry, just let us know and we will mail you a shirt and medal. Please email us your time and we will work on results after August 1st, but no awards or plaques will be given. Since this is the biggest fundraising event for the Shoals Civic League and they use the money raised at the race to support several local charities, we did not want to completely cancel the race. There is never a good time to postpone or cancel an event, but there were many factors that went into us deciding to make this years Swampers race a virtual only run. If anyone wants a picture of the medal or t-shirt design just let me know.
We have emailed anyone that has registered with the options they have for their registration if you did not receive please let us know. Please encourage others to register for the virtual option. They can register online or mail the old application in. If you need an application mailed just let me know. Please don’t hesitate to message us with an email with any questions or concerns.
