2021 Project Threadways Symposium

Join us for our second annual symposium celebrating the stories of textiles and manufacturing, community, and women in the workforce, with a focus on the geography of textiles, material culture, cotton, economics, and oral histories. This symposium will help us develop a deeper understanding of our complicated past to continue building a more sustainable future.
This ticket gives you access to all events Friday, November 20th and Saturday, November 21st. Your experience includes lectures with breakfast and lunch each day, a reserved seat for our Cloth Bound Lunch with wine pairings on Friday, discussions, evening cocktail hours, tours of the local music studios and Pope's Tavern, as well as a t-shirt making workshop at The School of Making on Saturday.

This series of events is in partnership with the National Parks Service, the Muscle Shoals National Heritage Area, the Center for the Study of Southern Culture, and Alabama Chanin.
All ticket sales will go to 501(c)(3) certified Project Threadways.
Tickets to our opening Friends of the Café Dinner with Whitney Otawka of Greyfield Inn are sold separately.
