Dirty Dancing Anniversary Screening

The Ritz Theatre invites you to have the time of your life with a 35th-anniversary screening of Dirty Dancing on Friday, Aug 12, at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 and are available at tennesseevalleyarts.org or at the door.
Dirty Dancing, which stars Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey, was released in 1987 and is a coming-of-age romance set in the 1960s. With its memorable soundtrack and dance numbers, it has become a favorite comfort film, and its legacy includes a prequel film, a stage adaptation, and multiple quotes that have entered the mainstream lexicon.
Audience members are invited to make their evening even more fun by dressing for a 1963 summer in the Catskills. They are also welcome to come as they are. Concessions– including fresh popcorn, sodas, candy, wine, and beer–will be available, and doors open at 6:30 p.m.
