Piecemakers Quilt Guild
This event has expired and is here for your information.
The Piecemakers Quilt Guild presents an exhibit of quilts at the Kennedy-Douglass Center for the Arts November 25 - December 27.
This exhibit will showcase quilts that have followed a specific set of rules for the challenge.
Quilters must have used 12 inch “blocks” to create their entries. No new materials were to be purchased for the projects. Each quilter was to use their own personal “stash” of fabrics to complete the quilt.
There was no set size requirement for the entries but each quilter must have started and completed the quilt within 2019. There was no shape requirement but each entry must be a three layer quilt – top, batting and back – with a finished edge.
The quilters will include a display of 12 inch blocks with an explanation as to how they are pieced (manufactured) either by machine sewing or by hand so viewers might understand the construction of the quilts.
There will be a ballot box for viewers to vote on their their favorite quilt.
Kennedy-Douglass is open Monday-Friday 9 AM - 4 PM
