Recall LaGrange 30th Annual Event, featuring the only Marine Re-Enacting group in the USA, Company E. 282, 1st Sgt. George H. Jones..eommemorating the burning of the LaGrange College -Military Academey during the Civil War in 1863, Recall LaGrange Festival, 2017 will be commemorating also the 75th Anniversary of the battle of Guadalcanal during World War 11, with both Japanese and American's re-enacting the campaign. The 27th Alabama Civil War Re-enactors will also be sponsoring the event, as well as the Providence Living History Re-Enactors. Other activities include the Cemetery Drama, 1800's Demonstrations, and Special Ceremony for Mike Vanderboegh (founder of LLHA) School Day will be on Friday with Educational Activities for the Kids, Period arts/crafts will be on display for purchase during the entire week-end.
