Shoals 3 State Ride

This event is our biggest fundraiser for our non-profit, Shoals MTB, with which the proceeds from this event help us with trail development and maintenance here in the Shoals. This event is an on road cycling experience, with the traditional ride (formerly the Handy 100 ride) leaving McFarland Park, riding to Mississippi, then to Tennessee, and then returning to the park. 

The main attraction for this ride is the Natchez Trace Parkway, and we are unlike other bike rides in that we allow folks to park and ride from their preferred starting point. Therefore, this is a personalized ride on the Trace that anyone can enjoy, no matter if you are a seasoned cyclist or just a casual rider. We also added Collinwood, TN as the northern terminus, which extends the route to a possible total of 128 miles, making it an "ultra" and hopefully attracting some of the die-hard cyclists who like the challenge. The "T" shaped route offers plenty of other ride distance options, and unlimited options with the "park and ride" opportunity. 

We hope you can help us promote this event and find new riders that have never participated in a big group ride like this, and help showcase the Natchez Trace in a way that most people have never experienced. It is especially nice with the recent paving projects that are soon to be completed!
