Bailey graduated from Belmont University just last year with a degree in Music Business - and is a graduate of Florence High School. She has been interested in music since the age of 11 and began taking guitar lessons from Melissa Bain and then later learned more about guitar and songwriting from Gary Nichols. Bailey has been songwriting for almost 10 years and released her first record two years ago - it featured songs she wrote by herself and song she co-wrote with local artists. That project was co-produced by hit songwriter James LeBlanc and Grammy Award Winner Jimmy Nutt.
Bailey draws lots of inspiration from Muscle Shoals music because of all the incredible people she's been fortunate to be around and learn from in this area. Since she didn’t come from a musical family, it meant the world that members of the Muscle Shoals music community took Bailey under their wing like they did. Bailey sees herself working in music for the rest of her life - Bailey's goal is to have a career as a recording artist and tour but also share the stories of music in this area through the magazine she co-owns, Shoals Soul.
