YLS: Native American Heritage Month

This event has expired and is here for your information.

The Florence Indian Mound Museum, through its partnership with the Muscle Shoals National Heritage Area, is hosting a series of children’s activities that help students to investigate the early culture of the Shoals through interactive learning. These programs will cover a wide range of topics; they are suitable for an elementary level age group; will focus on Native American history and culture; and will have a creative component, which will engage students in hands-on learning. All events are free.

November is Native American Heritage Month, and the Florence Indian Mound Museum will host a free program on Saturday, November 16th at 10 am for students that is focused on the history of Native Americans in the Shoals area. Students will work to create an exhibit that will stay at the museum.
