Young Learner Series: Houses
This event has expired and is here for your information.
The Florence Indian Mound Museum, through its partnership with the Muscle Shoals National Heritage Area, is hosting a series of children’s activities that help students to investigate the early culture of the Shoals through interactive learning. These programs will cover a wide range of topics; they are suitable for an elementary level age group; will focus on Native American history and culture; and will have a creative component, which will engage students in hands-on learning. All events are free.
In January students will learn about the different houses and homes of the indigenous southeastern peoples. Students will engage in a short lesson and then prepare an exhibit that will be on display at the Museum. This event will be held on Saturday, January 18th at 10 am.
